Tottenville will again enter the PSAL Class A playoffs as the top seed, but it didn’t come easy.
The defending champion Pirates had to fend off a pesky Beach Channel team 16-15 in PSAL Championship division girls lacrosse Wednesday. Samantha Siciliano’s sudden-death goal was the difference. The two teams, who met in the final two years ago, were tied 12-12 after regulation and 13-13 and 15-15 after the first and second overtimes, respectively. Maria Caccipuoti tallied seven goals and Victoria Orlick scored five. Nicole Tantillo chipped in two goals and two assists for the Pirates (12-1). Beach Channel is 6-6.
Benjamin Cardozo 12, Stuyvesant 6: Angelina Borukhova had three goals and three assists and Milana Larin had three scores and a helped for the Judges (8-5). Leah Revello chipped in two goals and Carly Chierico had a goal and two assists. Stuyvesant is 2-11.
Curtis 12, Midwood 8: Taylor O’Gara tallied six goals for Curtis (10-3). Nicole O'Gara had two goals and and an assist and Agnes Buczek scored twice. Rachel Cusick and Casey Mets both had a goal and an assist. Midwood is 9-4.
Riverdale 16, Horace Mann 5: Madeline Hopper scored six goals and Lindsay Picard had three for Riverdale (7-2) Wednesday. Sarah Berlinski and Isabella Bertagna had two goals apiece and Jessica Gibbs chipped in a score. Horace Mann is 3-6.Follow @NYPostsports
