The PSAL baseball season came to an exciting climax Saturday night at MCU Park in Coney Island, with George Washington rallying past Tottenville and celebrating with suspended coach Steve Mandl.

It was an apt end to a memorable season which included the two super powers meetings in the ultimate game, surprising division winners and postseason upsets. Catch up on the latest in The Post’s final PSAL baseball ranking of the year below.

1. George Washington (22-0) (Last week: 1)

The biggest reason many picked Tottenville – us included – in the PSAL Class A title game was the Pirates’ lethal lineup. GW ace Yael Regalado turned the red-hot batting order into a meek group, shutting them down over six dominant innings and holding Stony Brook-bound Kevin Krause without a hit.

2. Tottenville (22-2) (2)

The Pirates loss in the championship game to George Washington was tough to take since Tottenville was a hit here and pitch there of repeating as city champions. However, it hardly takes away from what this group of seniors – headed by Kevin Krause, George Kantzian, Tom Kain and Gil Mendoza – accomplished, extending the Huguenot’s school’s proud legacy.

3. Grand Street Campus (18-3) (3)

Between now and next spring, the Wolves need to figure out exactly what happened against Tottenville in the PSAL Class A semifinals. Because, for whatever reason, the team that won the prestigious Monroe Tournament and breezed through Brooklyn A East didn’t show up at MCU Park. Grand Street will be just as potent next year, despite losing center fielder Williams Jerez. Top shortstop prospect Jose Cuas is back, so is catcher Ernesto Lopez and right fielder Basael McDonald, along with pitchers Geraldo Gonzalez, Alex Cuas and Willy Santana. Only time will tell if they can finally put it together in June.

4. Lehman (17-4) (4)

What a shame Lehman coach Adam Droz was painted as the villain these last few weeks when he should’ve been lauded for the remarkable job he did in getting his team back to the PSAL Class A semifinals. Droz is one of the finer coaches in the city – his teams always overachieve – but his decision to file a complaint against suspended George Washington baseball coach Steve Mandl for allegedly recruiting former Lehman student and current GW player Fernelys Sanchez is what many will remember. Was he right in doing so? It’s not for us to decide. We do know if our kid was looking for a program, Droz is one of the coaches we would contact.
