The NHL on Friday fined Devils leading point-getter Patrik Elias the maximum $2,500 for boarding Montreal’s Mike Blunden in Thursday’s 5-3 victory over the Canadiens at Prudential Center.

No action was announced against Devils rookie defenseman Adam Larsson for what the Canadiens claimed was a slew-foot infraction against Louis Leblanc in the final minute of the second period.

Larsson later was laid out by Montreal’s P.K. Subban and left the game with what the Devils later called a lower-back injury. Larsson did not join the team for practice Friday and is unlikely to play in Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon.
