Tinsley's mom in a catfight

Things are getting punchy for the family of Tinsley Mortimer. Dale Mercer, the mother of the socialite and soon-to-be CW reality-show star, allegedly got into an altercation with a woman currently involved with her millionaire ex-husband, George Mercer.

Krissy Morrow, 29, an aspiring singer, claims she was involved in a catfight with Dale, an interior designer, at George Mercer's Fifth Avenue apartment.

"Dale controls access to all of George's money, and she's worried that I am going to get some of it," Krissy tells Page Six.

The battle broke out after Krissy walked in on Dale as she was about to take George, 63, to the bank. "Dale called me trash and started insulting me," Krissy says.

George, a rug dealer and real-estate investor, split from Dale more than a decade ago. He told us Dale and Krissy "were like oil and water. They got into a heated tiff over who was gonna take who down. I saw them pushing, but I didn't see any blows land."

He calls Krissy his "escort," adding, "We hang out sporadically, but have never so much as kissed. She's Tinsley's age."

Strangely, Krissy claims that she and George were actually married last month in New Rochelle, although George denies it. "She's a nice girl," he says. "But I was drunk as [expletive] at the time. The next thing I know she had dragged me in front of a judge. I signed something, but it's not worth the paper it's printed on."

George adds that the marriage is not legal because he's technically wed to Catherine Stamatacos, a Baltimore surgeon from whom he's separated.

But a friend of Dale's chimes in, "Krissy is just a gold digger, trying to take advantage of George. She's insanely manipulative."

Dale Mercer did not return calls. Meanwhile, Tinsley has also been carrying the family drama. She was spotted making out with former "American Idol" contestant Constantine Maroulis at Lower East Side eatery Shang on Tuesday night.
