Gore Vidal flew back to LA just in time to toast sexual Zelig Scotty Bowers at the party for his much talked-about memoir, “Full Service: My Adventures in Hollywood and the Secret Sex Lives of the Stars,” at the Chateau Marmont, hosted by hotelier Andre Balazs and literary agent David Kuhn. Vidal had been in New York for the upcoming Broadway production of his play, “The Best Man.” He vouched for Bowers, whose memoir reveals Hollywood’s sexual secrets from his work as a gigolo to tales about iconic actors. The revelations include Bowers’ claims to have set Katharine Hepburn up with “over 150 different women,” along with stories about Spencer Tracy, Cole Porter — even orgies involving the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. Vidal told guests he’s never caught Bowers in a lie in the 60-plus years he’s known him in a town “where you can meet 1,000 liars a day.” Also at the party were Dana Delany and Griffin Dunne, Chloe Sevigny, Buck Henry, Bret Easton Ellis, Michael Lynton, Angela Janklow, Mitch Glaser and Doug Liman.
