Will Smith isn’t too old for roughhousing. The actor would wrestle with “Men in Black 3” director Barry Sonnenfeld on set, according to co-star Michael Stuhlbarg. “Will was always grabbing him and wrestling around. They have a long friendship and it’s very funny and very eccentric, and you never know what is going to happen. Put them together, and it’s like a flash fire,” Stuhlbarg told us during the premiere at the Ziegfeld.
David Rasche, who plays an agent in the film, told us, “One of them would attack the other out of nowhere. They’d be on the floor wrestling like two 8-year-olds.” No expense was spared at Columbia Pictures’ lavish party at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum following Wednesday’s screening. Smith — who had changed out of his suit into jeans — surprised guests by taking the stage with former music partner DJ Jazzy Jeff. Smith’s daughter, Willow, danced along onstage, and son Jaden performed a few songs before their dad launched into old-school hits “Men in Black,” the “Fresh Prince” theme song and “Summertime” as the crowd sang along. Sony’s Amy Pascal was seen dancing to a performance by Pitbull. And stars including Jada Pinkett-Smith, Josh Brolin and Diane Lane, plus sailors in town for Fleet Week, were also treated to a fireworks display.
