Linday Lohan was a no-show at the Vienna Opera Ball after missing her flight because she was too busy shopping. Lohan was to accompany oddball Viennese billionaire Richard Lugner, 77, whose ball dates in past years have included Pam Anderson, Dita Von Teese, Carmen Electra and Paris Hilton, whom he each paid about $150,000 to join him. Austrian papers reported that Lohan held up a British Airways flight from Los Angeles to London en route to Vienna while she shopped and couldn't afford the $22,000 fee that the airline charged for the delay. "She wanted to pay it, but her card's credit limit was not high enough," Lugner told the Austrian press. Lohan had already made high-maintenance requests before the ball, such as insisting that no alcohol be left in her sight and asking that the date of the event, which has been held the Thursday before Ash Wednesday since 1936, be moved. Lugner took German singer Dieter Bohlen instead. Lohan's rep didn't get back to us.
