The newest Knick, Jason Kidd, toasted his upcoming move to New York with friends at Beaumarchais East Hampton on Thursday. The Knicks and Kidd were still working Friday on terms of the deal that will get him from Dallas to the city, according to reports, but it’s never too early to celebrate. The veteran player turned up at the East End hot spot with an entourage of 27 — including NFL stars Michael Strahan and Shawne Merriman — at 9p.m. and stayed till 2:30 a.m. NBA contracts can’t be signed until Wednesday. Kidd, who’s reportedly taking a three-year, $9.5million deal with the Knicks, also played for the Phoenix Suns and the New Jersey Nets.
