New York nightlife gurus Mark Birnbaum and Eugene Remm of EMM Group are getting into the reality-TV biz. We hear the two are co-producing a reality series, “Kings of New York,” with Tim Kash, a host on MTV Europe. The show centers on a group of young people trying to make it in New York in modeling, nightlife promotion, fashion, hairstyling and other professions. Birnbaum and Remm will not appear on camera, but their venues, including Abe & Arthur’s and SL, will serve as backdrops for some scenes. The show started filming this week, and will debut in the fall on the upcoming AXS channel (formerly HD Net) co-owned by Mark Cuban, Ryan Seacrest, talent agency CAA and tour promoter AEG.
