Marc Jacobs is known for keeping fashionistas waiting for hours with his show’s late arrivals during Fashion Week. But his reputation is being upstaged by Andre Saraiva’s long-gestating New York outpost of his Paris club, Le Baron. Its space in Chinatown is still sitting dormant after being billed to be the hot spot to host the most exclusive parties. Last November, reports said Le Baron would be open for February’s Fashion Week. And up until this week, ready-to-party fashionistas were whispering that it would finally open its doors. Designers have reportedly been asking to host events at the space, but are being told it’s not ready.
