Apologies for flip gesture

The NFL and NBC apologized yesterday for singer M.I.A.’s flipping the bird at Super Bowl halftime viewers.

While the NFL called the move “completely inappropriate,” NBC apologized for belatedly obscuring the “inappropriate gesture” M.I.A. made while dancing to Madonna’s new single, “Give Me All Your Luvin.’ ”
