Park and rile on SI

Irate motorists on Staten Island claim they’re getting slammed with unfair parking summonses by cops who’ve crossed the line to meet ticket quotas.

The drivers say they’ve gotten $45 tickets for parking their cars outside allotted slots in the Eltingville Transit Center, a major commuter hub for express buses to Manhattan.

Three people who got ticketed were so angry that they separately contacted The Post.

“I’m really in shock right now,” Jonathan McKenzie told The Post.

He returned to the lot after work to find he had been cited.

“I’ve been given a ticket and I don’t know why,” he said with bitterness.

McKenzie recalled that he parked that day the same way he’s been parking for five years, legally, in one of the 382 spots.

Another motorist, who asked not to be identified, spotted numerous summonses on windshields when he hopped off an express bus the night of Jan. 5.

“I saw an elderly couple. The guy kept saying, ‘What did I do?’ That was before I saw I had one.

“They’re just doing it for the revenue,’’ he said.
