More than 80 teens at New York Presbyterian Children’s Hospital last night were able to celebrate a typical teen experience: prom.

The “Evening Around the World”-themed gala, where kids donned gowns and formal wear donated by Bloomingdale’s and had their hair and makeup done by professionals, featured international cuisine and decorations.

“It feels good to be having fun like any other person,” said Brandon Pimentel, 15, from Palisades Park, NJ.

Melanie Chaite, 18, from Roslyn, LI — one of the party’s organizers — said many of the patients had been bummed over missing proms at their schools.

“We figured why not bring the prom to the hospital?” said Chaite, who just finished her freshman year at NYU while still getting treatment at the hospital.

“It’s really rewarding to see patients get out of their hospital beds and have a good time.”

Teens also got the chance to walk a red carpet and pose for photos in front of limousines.
