NEWARK -- The evacuation of a residence hall on the Newark campus of Rutgers University was re-ordered Wednesday following a bomb threat, according to school officials.

The threat was initially made Tuesday night, which prompted an evacuation. Students were allowed to return to the building after the threat was deemed unfounded.

After speaking with local police investigating the potential threat, the school decided to order another evacuation on Wednesday, officials said.

It was not clear what was said in the threat or in what form it was made.

The evacuation of 155 University Avenue in the University Square was called around noon.
