Cop shot in head is ‘doing great’: kin

Kevin Brennan, the NYPD cop shot in the head last week, allegedly by a gangbanger, continued to show signs of improvement yesterday, his family said.

“He’s doing good and recovering well,” said sister-in-law Patty Masi. “His wife is by his side. She’s doing OK, and Kevin is doing . . . great for a guy who got a bullet to the head, you know? It’s not gonna be easy, but we all love him, and he’ll get through this.”

Brennan was responding Tuesday to a call of shots fired at the Bushwick Houses in Brooklyn. Luis “Baby” Ortiz, 21, is charged with attempted murder of a cop.
