In case you missed it, U.K. paper The Telegraph’s Shane Richmond had an interview this morning with Sir Jonathan Ive, Apple’s (AAPL) lead designer, who was knighted by the crown for “services to design and enterprise.”

Interestingly, Ive had parental influence similar to that of late Apple founder Steve Jobs, with a father who was also a craftsman, like Jobs’s.

“My father was a very good craftsman. He made furniture, he made silverware and he had an incredible gift in terms of how you can make something yourself,” Ive told Richmond.

Asked about his favorite accomplishment of all time at Apple, Ive tantalizingly tells Richmond that it’s the current project he’s been working on, which will be “the best work we’ve done.”
