No 'Star Search' for Paula

OK -- so now Paula Abdul won't be hosting ABC's "Star Search" revival.

ABC insiders confirmed to The Post that Abdul, who'd been in talks to host the talent show, is no longer in the running for the job.

"That doesn't necessarily mean 'Star Search' still won't happen, though," said one insider.

Abdul has been unemployed since leaving "American Idol" at the end of last season.

But she's considered a front-runner to join best pal Simon Cowell when he launches the US version of his British hit, "The X Factor," on Fox in September 2011.

Cowell is leaving "Idol" after this season.
