We hunted down some of Midtown’s leanest lunchtime salads — all fewer than 400 calories including dressing — and graded them based on taste, cost and nutrition. FARMERS' MARKET SALAD FROM PRET A MANGER

Ingredients: Avocado, garbanzo beans, Mediterranean lentil salad, pine nuts, shredded beets, shredded carrots, spinach, cherry tomatoes, roasted red peppers with balsamic or lemon shallot vinaigrette

Taste: Pret’s pre-packaged Farmer’s Market Salad tastes as good as it looks, with veggies hiding in every nook, from hunks of avocado to garbanzo beans. And all those flavorful ingredients mean you only need about half the container of vinaigrette to dress the salad.
