Forget the bride — it’s hard enough for guests to find a great dress for summer nuptials. We give five lovely ladies the perfect look.
Just in time for wedding season, we rounded up five local women who are going to weddings this summer and looking for the right dress to wear.
Whether their wedding events are black-tie, cool and casual, or somewhere in between, they ended up with trendy looks that they’ll be able to wear throughout the summer — and long after the last wedding bells have rung.
Take a look!
BEATRIZ BECKFORD, 31
This Halle Berry look-alike tends to favor A-line cuts and earth tones, but for her college roommate’s wedding in September, she was looking to experiment with brighter, bolder colors.
“[Normally] I’ll try on color and I’ll be happy with it, but before I get to the register I’ll run back and get my monotone [outfit],” she says. This time, we dressed Beckford, a food-policy coordinator for Brooklyn Food Coalition, in the hot new trend for summer — a high-waisted color-block maxidress.
