For once, the focus won’t be on Brooklyn AA.
Sunday at York College in Queens, the PSAL Steve Simms Memorial AA Showcase (formerly the Mid-Winter Classic) will showcase the city’s top teams outside of the dominant borough which should help the winner for seeding purposes.
John F. Kennedy, Eagle Academy and Wings Academy of The Bronx, Cardozo, Bayside and Campus Magnet of Queens, Wadleigh of Manhattan and Curtis of Staten Island will all be competing. Below is the schedule.
11 a.m. – Wadleigh vs. Campus Magnet
1 p.m. – Eagle Academy vs. McKee/Staten Island Tech
3 p.m. – Cardozo vs. John F. Kennedy
5 p.m. – Wings Academy vs. Curtis
ZACH BRAZILLER A co-founder of FiveBoroSports.com, Zach Braziller has covered high-school sports in New York City for six years, beginning with an internship at the New York Sun.
