In the new issue of Redbook Lauren Graham opens up about dating her "Parenthood" co-star Peter Krause. "One of the things that’s been so fun [about this relationship] is that it’s so easy. And it’s a lot, to work with somebody and then spend time [at home] with them too."
Oh, did I forget to mention that Lauren and Peter play siblings on "Parenthood." Yea, there's a light ick factor there, but it's not unprecedented. In fact there is a long history of on-screen siblings getting "incestual" off-screen.
The most notable is Peter's "Six Feet Under" brother Michael C. Hall, who is currently married to Jennifer Carpenter, who plays his sister Deb on "Dexter." Kayla Ewell dated (albeit briefly) her "Vampire Diaries" brother Zach Roerig as well.
The Brady's were another tainted family tree when Florence Henderson got physical with her on-screen stepson Barry Williams while Milo Ventimiglia went outside the house to date his niece Hayden Panettiere on "Heroes."
But no matter the fake familial relations, I could not be a bigger fan of Lauren & Peter's coupling. Especially since it was so long in the making.
"We met when I first came out here [in L.A., in 1995], but the timing wasn’t right," she tells Redbook. "Though I think we liked each other. I remember one day he asked me over to his house to play a board game—and that’s exactly what we ended up doing. So I was like: This guy doesn’t like me. But I was also like: Who actually plays a board game? It’s so interesting to me that there was clearly a connection there back then, but I don’t think either of us was ready. He’s obviously a very confident, appealing guy. but he’s shy, and so am I. We stayed friends over the years, and I’ve always been a huge fan of his work."
