Foreign troops helping Syrian rebels -- finally

10:18 AM, February 8, 2012 ι Abby W. Schachter

DEBKAfile reports that British and Qatari special forces are in Homs, Syria working with anti-government forces .

"The foreign troops are not engaged in direct combat with the Syrian forces bombarding different parts of Syria's third largest city of 1.2 million. They are tactical advisers, manage rebel communications lines and relay their requests for arms, ammo, fighters and logistical aid to outside suppliers, mostly in Turkey," the report states.

Good news for the forces allied against dictator Bashar Assad.
