Giants sign RB Brown, 8 others to futures contracts

3:53 PM, February 8, 2012 ι By PAUL SCHWARTZ

Andre Brown became a You Tube sensation with his cheerful and excited “I got a ring’’ chant that was first captured on the Giants victory flight home from Indianapolis and then repeated, with the urging of Justin Tuck, at the celebrations at City Hall and at MetLife Stadium.

Brown, a practice squad running back, has also got a contract, as he was one of nine players the Giants Wednesday signed to a futures contract.

Brown, a fourth-round draft pick of the Giants in 2009, has been hurt by injuries and bounced around the league before returning to the Giants. The other eight players signed were all members of the practice squad:

DB Brandon Bing, OL Selvish Capers, WR Dan DePalma, DT Dwayne Hendricks, TE Christian Hopkins, QB Ryan Perrilloux, WR Isaiah Stanback and DE Adrian Tracy.
